Business for the Environment – 'Climate Responsibility Mark' will be awarded to local businesses

Business for the Environment – The 'Climate Responsibility Mark' will be awarded to local businesses. A project is currently being formulated that will provide tools and knowledge to businesses for streamlining and green conduct and branding them as "green". - Beer Sheva Net

News summary

As part of its policy to promote sustainability in the city and prepare to deal with the climate crisis, Ya'adim and the Be'er Sheva Municipality, in collaboration with environmental organizations in Israel, are currently leading the "Local Impact" project, which includes the establishment of a digital knowledge center aimed at local businesses and receiving a "Mark for Climate Responsibility for Small Businesses". The important program provides tools and knowledge that will enable streamlining and green conduct of the business, and of course its branding as a "green" business.

The program emphasizes energy efficiency, among other things: reducing energy and water expenses, streamlining procurement and inventory management processes, and reducing the amount of waste and the use of disposable utensils. The accompaniment provided to businesses is carried out free of charge, led by the Ye'adim business development company and the municipality. Fifteen local businesses have already registered for the program and have begun promoting processes for obtaining a Green Pass. It should be noted that in addition to granting the climate responsibility badge, the program leaders are promoting, together with business owners, a "digital knowledge center aimed at local businesses" for climate efficiency.
